BBQ Beans “Peachy Bourbon”

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 100 grams diced bacon
  • 1200 grams (3 cans) Heinz Baked Beans
  • 200 ml BBQ sauce, to taste
  • 100 ml ketchup
  • 400 grams (1 small can) canned peaches, diced
  • 3–4 tbsp Rock'n'Rubs "Whisky in the Jar"
  • 150 ml whiskey
  • Salt, pepper, chili flakes to taste

Preparation

In a large pot or Dutch oven, start by frying the bacon. After a few minutes, add the onion and bell pepper and cook for a few more minutes.

Next, add the baked beans, BBQ sauce, ketchup, peach, “Whisky in the Jar” and whiskey. Let everything simmer on low heat for at least 1 to 1.5 hours until you reach your desired consistency. Season to taste.

These BBQ beans are the perfect side for any grilled or BBQ dish.
