The red onion marmalade is a delicious topping for finger food, burger wraps, and so much more. It’s quick and easy to make, and when poured into clean jars, it keeps for a long time.

Sauté the onion slices in olive oil until translucent. Deglaze with vinegar and simmer for about 30–40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in “Whisky in the Jar,” sugar, whisky, and maple syrup, then continue simmering until you reach your desired consistency. Season with BBQ rub. Pour into clean jars and store in a cool place.
